Cynthia Whalen Nelson’s artworks weave nature, myth and narrative together through her vibrant palate and distinctively unique style. Symbiotic metaphors of both the strength and fragility play off one another throughout her paintings and sculptures. Allegory, dream, and the passage of time are contemplated through her multi-dimensional themed artworks. 

Cynthia holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and MAT, Art Education from Rhode Island College.
